I 1913 etablerte Hjalmar Fuggeli og Sven Forgaar hermetikkfabrikken Stavanger- Fjord Packing I Pedersgata 93. Under første verdenskrig ekspanderte produksjonen, hvor det meste ble eksportert. Fabrikken ble utvidet flere ganger med tilbygg og en ekstra etasje. I 1960-årene var hermetikk-epoken på hell, og eierne av Stavanger Fjord-Packing valgte å avvikle virksomheten i 1964 og leie ut lokalene.
Trykkeri og bilverksted
Eiendommen ble solgt til trykkeriet Nova-Print og en del av bygningene ble leid ut til et bilverksted. Da bybrua skulle bygges i 1973, kjøpte kommunen bygningen. Fabrikkpipa og en hel etasje måtte rives på grunn av by-brua skulle gå rett over.
Nevlands bilverksted
Kommunen solgte bygget til Nevlands Bil- og Karosseri som tilpasset det til den gamle fabrikkens behov. Familien Nevland har drevet bilverksted i tre generasjoner. De første årene solgte de og biler av merkene Skoda, Subaru og Alfa Romeo.
Etter det økonomiske krakket i 1992, da den såkalte jappeboblen sprakk, tok bilsalget slutt. Nevland konsentrerte seg etter det om reparasjon og ble et verksted som har fått stor anerkjennelse og mange priser.
Nevlands har autoriserte bilverksteder med avdelinger på Storhaug og Hillevåg i Stavanger. De er et godkjent bilverksted og godkjent skadeoppretter. Deres bilmekanikere er også autoriserte som takstmenn og utfører EU-kontroll. Nevlands utfører alle typer service som biloppretting, lakkering, vedlikehold og reparasjoner, uansett bilmerke. De har bl.a. blitt kåret til Norges beste verksted av NAF.

In 1913, Hjalmar Fuggeli and Sven Forgaar established the canning factory Stavanger-Fjord Packing at Pedersgata 93. During the World War I, production expanded, with most of it being exported. The factory was expanded several times with extensions and an extra floor. In the 1960s, the canning era was booming, and the owners of Stavanger Fjord-Packing chose to close the business in 1964 and rent out the premises.
Printing house and car repair shop
The property was sold to the printing house Nova-Print, and parts of the buildings were rented out to an auto repair shop. When the city bridge was to be built in the 1973, the municipality bought the building. The factory chimney and and the entire floor had to be demolished because of the city bridge that was to go directly over.
Nevlands auto repair shop
The municipality sold the building to “Nevlands Bil og Karosseri”, who adapted it to the old factory's needs. The Nevland family has run a n auto repair shop for three generations. In the early years, they also sold cars from the brands Skoda, Subaru and Alfa Romeo.
After the financial crisis in 1992, when yuppie bubble bursted, the car sales ended. Nevland after that concentrated on repairs and became a workshop that has received great recognition and many awards. Nevland has a authorized car workshops with branches at both Storhaug and Hillevåg in Stavanger. They are an approved car workshop and an approved damage adjuster. Their car mechanics are also authorized as appraisers and they carry out EU inspections. Nevland performs all types of service such as car restoration, painting, maintenance and repairs, regardless of the car brand. They have, among other things, been named Norway's best workshop by the Norwegian Automobile Association.
